when honduras freezes over..

Well I never would have guessed it, but it hailed today.. I was enjoying a nice Sunday afternoon nap when I woke up to the sound of thunder and rain. So I thought to myself, “well this will be nice.. rain hitting the roof, great to sleep to.” Or not.. I got up to see what all the ruckus was and when I opened my door, I saw hail EVERYWHERE. So I put on a jacket and ran to the garage where I could watch it better.
It was really beautiful actually. And it was a great reminder of the power of God. We see thunderstorms all of the time in the states, but it has only rained a few times since February here, so to see hail and a monster thunderstorm was a refreshing sight.

Gram and I are really enjoying your writing. It is great to see you baring your heart to God and to the rest of us.
Perhaps God sent some hail to make you feel at home, for we had some nice hailstones about a month ago in TN. I heard the good news that Matthew is coming back to FHU this fall. He is really a fine young man. Gram and I will be gone about the whole month of September. Hope we can get you to take care of guard duty and the Mutt detail. Perhaps you can draft Will.
Your piece about your Dad's visit was great. God is still in the prayer answering business.
    Love

  • Nate,

I played my first game (or is that a match?) of soccer on Saturday. I've played tennis my whole life without soreness but am stiff as a board (after 3 days) from playing 40 minutes of soccer. I have a new found respect for those who can run a hundred yards and not even get to kick the ball once.
